Create physically-based SSS materials that render fast. V-Ray's multilayered subsurface scattering includes diffuse and specular, plus single and multiple scattering components. So you can create any type of translucent material.
Ray traced subsurface scattering
Ray traced subsurface scattering isn't just more accurate – it's easier to set up and there's no prepass.
And it works on GPU or CPU. So you can fine tune your SSS materials interactively.
Accurate volumetric SSS
V-Ray's volumetric subsurface scattering material is accurate and unbiased.
V-Ray's skin material is realistic and quick to set up – with built-in controls for multilayered scattering and reflections.
V-Ray RT support
Render VRayFastSSS2 materials with V-Ray RT CPU or V-Ray RT GPU.
